Advise me!

Oh, my lovely readers - I need your help!

These are the boots I've wanted for ages:

Yes, the famous (infamous?) Marc by Marc Jacobs boots that were the "it" shoe in the blogger world a hot minute ago. I felt lucky enough to even try these on at an Off 5th Sak's store a few months back. My husband was laughing at me because I was almost literally drooling over them, all the while giggling and saying, "Oooo, look at me! I'm wearing $800 boots! Oooo! Boots more than rent! Ooo!" Yes, they were godly.

Now, being that those boots do LITERALLY cost more than my rent, I became determined to find knock-offs. While I haven't found anything perfect, I have found a few cheaper options - everything from $37 to close to $200. Help me decide which pair is worth saving for!

GoJane, $33.99

Nine West, $149 (I'll be honest - I'm leaning towards these.)

I just love the look of a slightly granny-ish boot (but not TOO granny) with the high, high heel and buckled strap. Yum. I'm sure there are other knock offs out there of these. Have you seen any?

And while we're on questions, have you ever bought anything (clothing/shoe wise) that cost more than your rent/mortgage? ;)

I really like the last ones! I think there was a Marc Jacob shoe like that a few seasons back! But I rather invest in flat ankle boots..mmhmm

I'm boringly sensible when it comes to spending a lot of money on clothes etc. The most I've spent was £160 on a dress which I then spilt a drink down!
I personally prefer the first pair :S sorry!

i think i spent around $300 on a beautiful lolita dress that i have never actually worn :( if i paid rent, that would be my half!

yigin: Oh, I might have to check out past MJ lines! I was never really into checking his stuff out til I saw these babies. ;) And flat ankle boots are also catching my eye this season. ;D

*indie_queen*: Oh, I'm horribly sensible. If I spend more than $25 on an item, it has to last me a LONG time. I bought a $100 purse once and literally got teary-eyed when I handed the cashier my money. haha And don't be sorry! I love all of the opinions. ;D

brooke_alexandra: Oh wow, you should dress it up for fall!!

I like the second one the best! Do you have a Last Chance in your area? I bought a pair of MJ heels there for only sixty dollars :) Most of their designer heels are in that price range.

I prefer the first pair...I think it's something about the knit cuff on the second pair that's throwing me off.

I think the most expensive clothing item I've ever bought myself was the Banana Republic Monogram dress I bought for my best friend's brother's wedding...it was $160. But the most expensive clothing item I own is the Bebe boots Rusty got me for my birthday at $295!

One day I'd like to be able to make majorly extravagant purchases with no remorse, but if that's ever going to happen I'm going to have to get a better job. A much better job.

Oh, and keep an eye out at your Nordstrom Rack if you have one -- I was in ours last weekend and the designer section is KILLING IT right now.

Hmm I think the Nine West ones look a litte more comfortable but I would wonder about the top bit getting natty. The other ones are super hot though if they are comfy (like that matters!!) =)
