Interior Decorating

For the first time since we've been together (and we're coming up on 10 years together), my husband and I are getting a new bed. It's not going to be anything super glamorous - just a queen size bed with a most-likely modest frame.

Because we're getting this and eventually all new bedding and such, I want to update everything in our bedroom and make it less cluttered and more "funky"-looking.

I'm looking for unique ways to store/display my jewelry and accessories. People are big on suggesting jewelry boxes or those little jewelry tree thingies. While those are pretty, I'm looking for cooler ideas.

So help me out!! How do you store your stuff, or how would you LIKE to store yours??

Here are some of my picture inspirations:

(This one is my #1 favorite. GOD I love Erin Wasson.)

I could use any kinds of tips or advice! (Pictures are always a huge help!)

You could get mesh yourself from the craft store and put it in a picture frame with the back taken out, hang it up somewhere (size depending on how many earrings you have), and use that as an earring/display holder. It helps to see all your choices.

I also enjoy a belt holder, like the hanger you show, to hang necklaces, but for my heavier pieces, I enjoy winding them around things so they don't have to hang and thus risk all my beads/pearls breaking ALL OVER THE FLOOR (personal nightmare). I haven't got too many that aren't in their cases but for those that are not, you could twist them around the base of a vase or a decorative tube thing (like bracelets), and that would keep them stacked on top of each other while ensuring that you can remove them easily. Secure them by looping them through themselves (I don't know what the knot is called, sorry!).

Christina: Thank you SO much!! I actually wound up buying These from Urban Outfitters. They work SO well, too! I really hope I can find more things like that.

Thank you so much for that Etsy link, though...love it!

I love the hands :) I actually hang all my jewelry on nails in my closet. But, for other randomness I just bought some corkboard squares from target and am in the process of painting them (just posted the progress). You can hang jewelry and whatnot from them with tacks. Or if you don't draw/paint you can just staple gun material to them.

Thank you guys again - you all rock!

I actually wound up eventually getting these fantastic silver "branch" hooks from Urban Outfitters that I LOVE. Sadly, they broke, so I'm trying to repair them now. Doh!
